What is a good Halloween costume for NY?

Halloween is always cold in NY but I’m 17 and probably won’t be outside at night. Everyone always wears really slutty costumes and I don’t want to be a nun but I don’t want to wear those tiny dresses either. Do you have any costume suggestions?
